Shopify Checkout WebMCP
LiveBrowser-registered tools implementing UCP checkout for reading and updating a buyer's active Shopify checkout, then submitting it after buyer confirmation.
Released September 28, 2026, Shopify Checkout WebMCP implements the UCP checkout capability with tools registered in the buyer's browser rather than a server-side JSON-RPC endpoint. Agents can read checkout state, update supported fields, and submit an order after the buyer confirms it. The tools hand control back to the buyer for payment challenges and other required interactions.
Why This Matters for UCP
Shopify Checkout WebMCP brings the UCP checkout object and lifecycle to browser-based shopping agents acting in the buyer's active checkout session.

Solid tool. The test suite coverage is excellent. I found one edge case in the payment token validation that the maintainers fixed within 48 hours.

Integrated in an afternoon. The discovery endpoint just worked. The CLI flags are well-designed — composable, no magic defaults.

Good tool for UCP conformance testing. Runs fast and the output is easy to parse in CI. Would like a JSON output mode — currently only text.
